  5. this is just a very minor update to FetchRefs 1.1 and you need  the  original
  6. distribution  to  get  much  out  of  this.  This  can  be found on Aminet as
  7. /pub/aminet/dev/misc/FetchRefs11.lha (~115 KB).

  9. To update FetchRefs and GenerateIndex  you  must  you  the  supplied  Patcher
  10. program  (©  1994  Martin  Mares,  MJSoft  System Software). The syntax is as
  11. follows:

  13.     Patcher <original> <new> <patch>
  14.  
  15. So to update FetchRefs 1.1 to version 1.1a you would do:

  17. 1> Patcher FetchRefs FetchRefs11a FetchRefs11a.pch
  18. 1> Delete FetchRefs
  19. 1> Rename FetchRefs11a as FetchRefs
  20.  
  21. Same procedure for GenerateIndex. I am sorry that  I  have  not  provided  an
  22. Installer script for this and hope you feel comfortable with your Shell.

  24. The changes are:
  25.  
  26. FetchRefs - the window that pops up  when  several  matching  references  are
  27.             found is now a Triton window. This  makes it a bit more sensitive
  28.             (scroller) and adds keyboard support. If Triton is not found, the
  29.             old  window will open.  The Triton  window is  still in  the test
  30.             phase; if you do not like this, please do not apply the patch.

  32. GenerateIndex - a nasty bug  had  found  its  way  into  the  scanner  for  E
  33.                 includes. Specifically, the CONST scanner was halfway broken.
  34.                 Hopefully  it  works  a  bit   better  now.  Thanks  to  Leon
  35.                 Woestenberg for reporting this bug.

  37. GoFetchRefs.edge - this is a completely new ARexx script for the Edge editor.
  38.                    It is made  by  Jon Rocatis (thanks) and is untested by me
  39.                    - I do not have Edge - but it must be better than nothing.
